maradns 1.2.09 released (microsoft.com fix)
maradns 1.2.09 is maradns 1.2.08 with the microsoft.com fix which i
have been talking about on the mailing list.
i have spent the last few hours stress-testing the recursive resolver
for the new 1.2.09 release, without seeing any memory leaks nor crashes.
i have also carefully looked at the microsoft.com fix to make sure that
there are no security consequences from incorporating this patch.
the only possible security consequence is that maradns now needs a little
more cpu power to reject a packet with multiple spoofed answers in the
answer section of a dns reply.
the 1.2.09 release is a development release; people are encouraged to
download this release to help me test maradns. it can be downloaded
here:
