carp fishing uk » reviews » kevin nash combat tt bivvy              login | register   carp fishing uk » carp fishing reviews » kevin nash combat tt bivvy kevin nash combat tt bivvy by crocket the last couple of years have seen the rise of the easy erect bivvy. trakker, aqua, fox, badger and hutchinson have all released bivvies of the same basic design. recently i have been using the nash version of the same theme. the combat tt is a single skin easy erect bivvy. it has three ribs, which remain within the skin of the bivvy. these simply push together and are attached at a central position. tt means tension technology. elasticated loops keep the skin on the poles and flex with varying weather conditions. the skin is made from nash's rainmaster material, which is proven against the elements. all the seams are tape jointed and the quality of the stitching is good. erecting the bivvy is simplicity itself. push all the poles together, attach the tension strap that runs under the ground sheet, peg down the back pegging points, pull the front forward and peg down. the combat tt has a half sewn in groundsheet, the back half being sewn in and the front half velcro's to the generous flap that folds back from the bottom of the skin. the front wings have see through windows that have covers that can be used if needed. the door zips from both top and bottom and also features a see through window. once erected there is plenty of room and there is also good head height so you can sit on your bed chair and not have to stoop to see out. i use a jrc cocoon 3-leg bed chair and there is roughly 16 of space either end of the chair. no chance of the chair touching the sides. there is loads of room for tables, cooking equipment if you cook inside (not that i recommend it, but i prefer it) storage of bags and holdalls etc. in use i have found the combat tt easy to set up and although it is bigger than other similar types on the market it fits in all but the tightest of swims. it's actually wider than it is deep, to my mind the right way round. the door system works well and the windows allow a lot of light in on darker days. there is condensation, but you can expect that with all single skin bivvies. i have fished it in some quite heavy rain and there were no leaks associated with some nash bivvies. i have yet to fish it in a big wind, but there are plenty of pegging points and once up appears very solid. with the extra height, visibility very good. the front wings can be folded back giving an umbrellas type look. at the moment i am more than happy with this bivvy and will be looking at the winter skin that is available. this will eliminate condensation. the only gripe i have is one that appears to be a problem with virtually every bivvy on the market. tackle manufacturers take note. when i have finished fishing i do not have time to vacuum pack the bivvy back in the bag. please supply bivvies in a bag twice the size that you currently do. when its cold and wet i want to throw the bivvy in a bag no mess about for hours. pegs are included to throw in the bin, again manufacturers, good pegs please, and we pay a lot of money for our 'houses' don't skimp on the pegs. all in all a quality product from nash. please sort out the bags and pegs. crocket.click here for a printable version. site navigation home angling news carp fishing forums ask the forum carp fishing videos carp fishing articles carp tackle reviews carp fishing uk venues angling glossary carp fishing uk store rigs & end tackle angling poetry angling art catch gallery scenic gallery links directory carp fishing uk mailing list carp fishing uk memberlist make a suggestion    | terms & conditions | copyright © carp fishing uk 2002-2007 | privacy policy | contact carp fishing uk
