an ohio state sophomore was arrested on campus thursday morning for alledgedly trying to solicit sexual activity from a 14-year-old boy he met online.kevin nash, 19, was charged by pickerington police with importuning and endangering children.the chemistry major befriended the boy online and encouraged him to "sneak out of the home, kiss and lie in the grass together," according to nbc 4 reports.a monitoring program on the victim's computer sent a copy of the chat logs to the boy's parents who then contacted pickerington police.importuning is soliciting a person who is less than thirteen years of age to engage in sexual activity with the offender, whether or not the offender knows the age of such person. no person shall solicit another to engage in sexual conduct with the offender, when the offender is eighteen years of age or older and four or more years older than the other person, and the other person is thirteen years of age or older but less than sixteen years of age whether or not the offender knows the age of the other person, according to ohio revised code 2907.07 sections a and b.at 3:43 p.m. on wednesday, pickerington police department officer susan liu received a voicemail requesting more information regarding nash who had outstanding felony warrants.on thurday, pickerington police department sgt. matt delp, detective rob bartek and detective john walsh arrived at hughes hall where nash was in class. det. walsh and officer liu covered three exits in the rear of the classroom while sgt. delp and det. bartek waited inside. just after 11 a.m., the officers located nash and placed him under arrest.nash was transported back to pickerington pd for processing and student judicial was notified."there are some ongoing legal matters; there's no room for comment," said tom nash, kevin's father.
