amy winehouse reportedly fell asleep 3 times during an interview.
amy winehouse fell asleep three times during an interview. she is also said to have slurred her words and rambled incoherently.
‘oh god, what is wrong with me? ‘there’s something wrong with me. i’m just really drowsy at the moment,’ she explained after waking up. ‘i’m so sorry.’
in her chat with jody rosen of us magazine, 24-year-old amy denied being a drug addict.
‘i don’t have the time,’ she claimed. but she was less certain when asked if she was an alcoholic.
‘i don’t know,’ she admitted. ‘i’m a really big drinker. i used to be there before the pub opened, banging on the door.’
jody rosen was shocked by amy’s bizarre behavior and describes her appearance as being ‘hunched, heavy-lidded and just frail’.
‘now her words are slurred, her eyelids drooping. her head wobbles into a nod,’ he writes. ‘she falls asleep for a second, wakes with a start, mutters and drops off again. the smouldering cigarette in her left hand falls to the floor.’
the star’s manager defended her by saying: ‘amy takes prescription medication, which makes her drowsy.’
what kind of prescription medication is that? pot, valium or heroin? the girl needs help!

kanye releases statement on mother’s death
grammy-winning singer/songwriter kanye west has released a statement following the death of his mother, donda, on saturday.
the statement reads: “kanye west, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, dr. donda west.
“after working in higher education for 31 years, dr. donda west and kanye west co-founded the kanye west foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country. the first and signature initiative of the kanye west foundation is loop dreams. designed to capitalize on students’ existing interest in hip-hop, loop dreams challenges students to learn more about what’s behind hip-hop culture in order to help them develop skills, express themselves creatively and be empowered.
“in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in dr. west’s name to the kanye west foundation/loop dreams teacher training institute. those donations can be made by visiting the foundation’s website, www.kanyewestfoundation.org, or by mail at kanye west foundation, 8560 w. sunset blvd., west hollywood, ca 90069.
dr. west sounds like a special lady. sad that vanity is what caused her early death.

owen wilson has a model girlfriend
owen wilson has a new girlfriend. on saturday, le call, and american model and the wedding crashers star attended a private dinner for english artist damien hirst and, early in the week, also practiced yoga together in a downtown studio.
a source close to the couple said on monday, “le call is totally overwhelmed by all of this attention. she isn’t used to it. so they will be leaving town tomorrow to escape – and traveling a great distance.”
ummm….hello??? what do you expect when you date a major star who just tried to kill himself? people are going to follow you everywhere. i am sure you won’t complain once you get modeling work from this whole experience.

ron weasley’s girlfriend cast for next harry potter movie
actress jessie cave has been cast as lavender brown in the next harry potter film, the half-blood prince.
she beat out thousands of girls who were dreaming of smooching with rupert grint, the actor who plays ron weasley.
lavender brown becomes ron weasley’s first girlfriend in the sixth potter book, and the pair get on everyone’s nerves because they can’t stop kissing!

madonna scores another collaborator on her new album
a friendly visit has turned into a musical collaboration for madonna.
while madonna was putting the finishing touches to her new album at recordplant studios in l.a. last week, kanye west was working on the new michael jackson album. pharrell - who was working with madonna next door - invited kanye in to meet her, the two hooked up and madonna came up with an idea for kanye to rap on one of her songs on the spot!

more info on the doctor involved with kanye’s mom
dr. jan adams is the doctor who performed a breast reduction and tummy tuck on dr. west, the mother of rapper kayne west. he claims that he did nothing wrong and that complications were the cause of her death. hopefully, more information will be revealed at a later time.
this might be the same dr. jan adams who was featured on an oprah episode on ‘extreme makeovers’.
yesterday, another doctor came forward and said that he refused to operate on dr west earlier this year due to medical issues. he wanted her to get a medical clearance before he would perform the surgery. i guess he was right?!
a message board claims that dr adams has two malpractice judgements against him. check out the site here.
i am sure we will hear a lot more about this doctor in the future.

t.i. making good use of his time at home
now that t.i. is at home under house arrest, he has a lot of time on his hands. so what is a fellow to do? you guessed it….write some songs!
a representative for the grammy-winning artist, 27, says he has already completed six new tracks in a studio inside his georgia home. t.i. hopes to release the disc, which he’s calling paper trail, in september 2008. the album’s title refers to the fact that t.i. is writing his new lyrics down — a practice he abandoned after his 2001 debut, i’m serious. each of his four subsequent albums, including this year’s t.i. vs. t.i.p., was composed without the aid of pen or paper. “he wanted to take more time to really put something down [this time].”
i sure hope that his legal troubles are behind him by september of 2008 so he can go out on tour with all these new songs. keep on writing t.i.
