the impact zonein orlando, florida. all four tna titles will be on the line, which includes a tagteam match for the tna world title and a four-way match for the tna women’schampionship. another four matches have been signed on for the card to make a totalof eight matches. here is a quick rundown:- kurt angle & kevin nash vs. sting & mystery partner (tna world championship)- jay lethal vs. sonjay dutt (x division title)- aj styles & tomko vs. the steiner brothers (tna tag team titles)- gail kim vs. roxxi laveaux vs. odb vs. angel williams (tna women’s title)- christian cage vs. kaz (fight for the right tournament finals/ladder match)- abyss vs. black reign (shop of horrors match)- samoa joe vs. robert roode- team 3d vs. motor city machine gunskurt angle & kevin nash vs. sting & mystery partner (tna world championship)last month at bound for glory, sting ended kurt angle’s reign at the top andcaptured his second tna world championship. a couple of short weeks later, anglegot a rematch against the new champion and took the title back. kevin nash was adeciding factor in both title changes, therefore jim cornette decided to make a tagteam match with angle & nash facing sting and a partner of his choosing. added tothat, the person who picks up the deciding pin fall or submission will win the worldtitle.i will go on the record and say that i really do not like this type of match. asingles title – especially the biggest title on the roster – should not be defendedin a tag team match. if they really needed to get nash involved in the titlepicture, there should have just been a triple threat or a fatal four-way match ifthey needed to add in a fourth person. essentially it will almost be like afour-way match as angle will do everything in his power to prevent his partner fromscoring the victory, even turning on him much like he turned his back on sting tolose the tna tag belts to team pacman a few months back.as for they mystery partner, sting has gone on to say that this person has been achampion in both wcw and wwe. that narrows it down to a handful of people and itseems that all signs are pointing to booker t. even with the help of the six-timeworld champion, i don’t foresee sting or booker picking up the win here. angle willwin the match and retain the title here.starman’s prediction: kurt angle to retain the title.jay lethal vs. sonjay dutt (x division title)this match was announced on impact this past week and was basically an afterthought. i am not sure what qualifies sonjay dutt as a competitor to the x division titleseeing as i can’t even remember the last time he was actually on the winning side ofa match. furthermore, these two are friends with one another, not rivals. even if this match doesn’t have any buildup or really have a point, that doesn’tmean it won’t be fun to watch. these two performers can work well together andshould be able to put on an exciting match. it’s just too bad there wasn’t anybuildup to it whatsoever to make it mean something. due to that, i have to pick thechampion to walk away from this one still holding on to the gold.starman’s prediction: jay lethal to retain the title.aj styles & tomko vs. the steiner brothers (tna tag team titles)last month, styles & tomko defeated team pacman for the tna tag team titles. sincethen, the new tag team champions have crossed paths with the steiner brothers on afew occasions. they have even met in the ring a couple of times – once in an 8-mantag match and the other time in a special styles vs. scott steiner 5-minute takedownmatch.even though they have been around for a long time, the steiner brothers have provedthat they still have some gas left in the tank, and even defeated team 3d last monthat their own game – a tables match. seeing that the team has reached legendarystatus, it only makes sense for the current champions to retain the titles in thismatchup. of course, making sense isn’t one of tna’s specialties, but i still haveto go with styles & tomko on this one.starman’s prediction: styles & tomko to retain the titles.gail kim vs. roxxi laveaux vs. odb vs. angel williams (tna women’s title)yet another title match that has little build on the card. i’m not saying thewomen’s division isn’t heating up, because it is. the problem is aside from gailkim, the only other women’s wrestler that is getting any sort of push is awesomekong. as a matter of fact, awesome kong totally destroyed one of the competitors inthe match, angel williams, which begs me to wonder why she is even in this match.i am fine with not having kong in the match, let her have a slow build up where shedestroys everyone in her path. i just wish they would have showcased the otherwomen in the match a little more before handing them a shot at the new women’schampionship. i have a feeling that kong and kim will again meet in the ring, andthat time it will be for the title, so i have to say that kim will retain herchampionship over the other three.starman’s prediction: gail kim to retain her title.christian cage vs. kaz (fight for the right tournament finals/ladder match)this match is the fight for the right tournament rematch for the chance to face thetna world champion at a later date. from the get go, this tournament has had itsshare of problems. for instance, cage wasn’t even scheduled to be in thetournament, nor was even in the match to determine the brackets. not only that, butthey lost one of the bigger names in the tournament when tna had a falling out withjunior fatu. at any rate, the finals of the tournament paired christian cage against kaz in amatch that originally took place on impact this past week. on paper, this shouldhave been an easy win for cage, however, the two fought in a 15 minutes match thatwas actually enjoyable to watch. as usual, the end saw interference by styles &tomko to assist cage in picking up the win. matt morgan, who was left in charge,decided due to the shady finish that the two will meet again in a ladder match todetermine the winner of the match. i like the fact that nobody turned a blind eye to the end result of the match anddecided to have them go at it one more time. being a ladder match gives it a littleextra, but if these two can pull out a match like the one they had on impact, thefans should be in for a treat, but i don’t think the match will end any differently. cage will still pick up the win here.starman’s prediction: christian cage to win the match.abyss vs. black reign (shop of horrors match)both abyss and black reign took part in a monster’s ball match last month at boundfor glory. it was abyss’ first monster’s ball victory, which must have rubbed blackreign the wrong way as he, along with james mitchell, have been attacking abyss frombehind at every opportunity, even going as far as squeezing his head in a vice grip.the two will now face off in a shop of horrors match. as usual, abyss should beturned into a bloody mess before the end of the match. and not only will abyss weara crimson mask, i have to say that black reign will get the upper hand in this one,much like he has been over the course of the past month.starman’s prediction: black reignsamoa joe vs. robert rooderoode has gone on a tirade and said that he is sick and tired of the same people inthe main event picture month after month. roode has finally decided to do somethingabout it and cost joe a shot at advancing in the fight for the right tournament bybashing him in the head with a chair during his match against christian cage. a fewweeks later, roode also busted samoa joe open by tossing him head first into thestairs and making him a bloody mess.i am going to say that this match will be the sleeper match of the night. i don’tlike the fact that joe has been pushed out of the main event picture, but the matchbetween him and roode should be great and hopefully puts the (wwe/wcw) main event toshame. unfortunately for joe, i have a feeling that he will losing end of thismatch to help elevate roode.starman’s prediction: robert roode to upset joe.team 3d vs. motor city machine gunsbrother ray and brother devon have made it their personal mission to dismantle the xdivision and take out all of the “little boys,” starting with the motor city machineguns. this is mainly due to the fact that alex shelley & chris sabin helped thesteiner brother pick up the victory last month at bound for glory. since then, team3d ended up costing sabin and shelley their spots in the fight for the righttournament and have taken out their frustrations on every x division star they areable to get their hands on.this storyline intrigues me and i think it has tons of potential to help get some ofthe x division stars over… at least that’s what i hoping for. for that to happen inmy eyes, team 3d will have to win this match to keep this thing going. starman’s prediction: team 3d to pick up the win.so there you have it. i have a hard time recommending this pay-per-view due to thefact that i cannot foresee any titles changing hands. actually, i think it would bemore shocking to see a title change on this card then to see who sting’s mysterypartner is. as i said earlier, all signs point to booker t, so unless you are a bigbooker t fan, this event may not be for you.don’t forget that live coverage of the event starts at 8:00 pm est on gerweck.net.so,
