plot summary:
in ancient egypt, high priest imhotep started a forbidden relationship with anck su namun, pharaoh seti's mistress. when seti finds out about what's going on, imhotep and his loved one stab him, but can't escape the trustworthy guards: anck su namnun chooses to commit suicide while imhotep is bestowed with the hom-dai, the most feared curse of all: he is mummified alive in hamunaptra, the city of the dead. more than thirty-six centuries later, in 1923, to be exact, adventurer rick leads egyptologist evelyn and her brother johnathan to mysterious hamunaptra. while johnathan is keen on finding the legendary egyptian treasures, evelyn wants to search for the book of the living, which would clarify a lot in historical knowledge about the ancient egyptians. unfortunately, they and a rivaling group of careless american adventurers free imhotep's mummy from his eternal prison. now, with the ancient and quite agile high priest on the loose, the adventurers and scientists face not only a dangerous enemy, but also a massive threat to today's world: imhotep wants to bring ankh-su-namun back to life by using evelyn's body, but he also wants to rid the world of the disbelieving crowd of democracy-supporters to be able to enforce his tyrannic dictatorship.

plot summary:

plot summary:
delivery boy mickey knox (woody harrelson) falls in love with customer mallory wilson (juliette lewis). he soon helps her kill her abusive father (rodney dangerfield) and enabling mother (edie mcclurg), beginning their macabre journey down route 666. their m.o.: every few miles, they attack everyone within their site, invariably leaving only one person alive to tell the tale. the two are made famous by unscrupulous reporter wayne gale (robert downy jr.), as they run across the countryside, pursued by the equally sadistic jack scagnetti (tom sizemore). just before the trial, a ratings-whoring interview by the same reporter who made them famous leads to pandemonium, not just within the prison itself, but nationwide. a satire of the media, public opinion, and the modern attitude toward violence.

plot summary:
josh, 40's, a respected engineer, is asked by his company to inspect a nuclear power plant in russia. he's reluctant to go, but when he discovers there has just been a minor earthquake in the region he's on the first plane out. the reason for his change of heart? his ex-wife, rachel, works at the plant, and his kids, dylan, 17, and cherie, 14, are living in the area. upon arriving in russia, he's taken on a tour of the power plant by emilio, the manager of the facility. he finally meets up with rachel, only to receive the cold shoulder. she's busy checking the nuclear core after the tremor, concerned that there might be a leak in the coolant system that's causing it to overheat. that night josh studies the readouts from the plant and discovers an anomaly. the core does seem to be overheating. he goes rachel's apartment with the figures in hand, but again receives a cold reception. rachel takes the paperwork from him, but shuts him out in the cold. literally. as he walks away josh sees his kids up at the window, looking down sadly. the next day rachel packs the kids off to school, tells them that unfortunately they probably won't be seeing their father. he'll be leaving as soon as the job is over. at the power plant, josh tries to convince emilio to shut down the reactor until they investigate the possible leak, but emilio will hear nothing more about it. he ignores rachel's safety warnings and orders the engineers to take the plant to full power... meanwhile, dylan and cherie arrive at the american academy and talk about josh. cherie misses him, but dylan puts up a front, pretending not to care. cherie talks about skipping school and heading over to the power plant to see him. dylan warns her not to, but she's headstrong. as soon as the coast is clear she sneaks out of class and heads down to the subway... josh takes a group of engineers down to the nuclear core to investigate the possible leak when...disaster strikes...a massive earthquake, 8.2 on the richter scale rocks the russian countryside. small fires break out all around the plant's uranium core, threatening to start a meltdown and cause an explosion ten times the size of hiroshima... cherie's subway train rocks violently in the quake, before becoming trapped when the tunnel entrances collapses at both ends ... and then as quickly as it began, the quake stops...and now the real stories begin... josh discovers that the coolant lines were leaking and there is insufficient water at the plant to help fight the fires. when emilio tries to increase the coolant pressure he ruptures the main pipeline from the reservoir ten miles away. now no water can reach the raging inferno... dylan discovers that cherie did indeed skip out of school, and now it's his responsibility to find her. he races through the devastated streets on a borrowed motorcycle, trying to find a way in to the collapsed subway tunnels... cherie extricates herself from the wreckage of the subway train and helps the other passengers caught in perilous situations... josh finds himself locked in the containment area around the core when the plant's automatic safety measures snap into effect. he must use all his skill and ingenuity to find a way back to the surface. time's running out as the core overheats... thinking fast rachel comes up with a solution: they could save the plant using the water from the reservoir. the only problem is they'll have to flood the subway system... and so begins a race against time as the core threatens to meltdown and josh and rachel fight their way into the subway tunnels, desperately trying to save any trapped passengers, including their children. but nature's got one final surprise for them...another massive quake!

forrest taft works for the aegis oil company in alaska. aegis company's corrupt ceo, michael jennings, is the kind of person who doesn't care whether or not oil spills into the ocean or onto the land as long as it's making money for him. he even makes commercials that make him look like he cares for the environment. when taft's best friend hugh palmer hides a computer disk that jennings needs to keep his company going, jennings sees hugh as a major threat, and has hugh murdered. when taft tries to interfere, jennings tries to kill taft, but taft is rescued by an eskimo woman named masu, who introduces taft to her father silook, the chief of her tribe. with masu's help, taft begins a trek through the wilderness, heading straight for the grounds of the aegis company.

plot summary:
brett mcbain is preparing a welcoming feast for the woman he married last month in new orleans when he and his three children are gunned down by desperadoes. frank, the most hardened villain, works for the railroad that will pass through the land jill mcbain has inherited. will auctioning off the land quickly increase her odds of surviving? harmonica gets the money for the high bid by turning in cheyenne for the $5,000 award. and he keeps jill, too, but seems more interested in settling an old score with frank than either the land or the lovely widow.

plot summary:

plot summary:
when some commercial airliners crash under mysterious circumstances, the faa has to find if there is any connection or if this is just a big coincidence. neil, an faa systems analyst, discovers that all aircrafts were outfitted with the same software. while his boss thinks that he is way off base, neil thinks he knows which plane is the next target. he barely arrives at the airport, before the plane leaves and instructs that the plane wait until he does a system check. but all of a sudden the plane starts to take off on its own. neil barely manages to get onboard. he is then contacted by the man behind all this, a computer guy who feels that he was taken advantage of by the aviation industry and wants some payback. he plans to crash this plane too. neil tries to do what he can to help but unfortunately the guy is watching him.
