highlights: plant-osceola - floridafb.com—florida football news, statistics, schedules, scores, blogs, and more   learn more here || careers || varsity sports media || advertising || contact us ||   big bend broward orlando metro heartland miami-dade & keys mid florida nature coast north central first coast palm beach panhandle southwest space/treas. coast suncoast tampa bay daytona & st. john's     highlights: plant-osceola courtesy: vsm florida fb           release: 11/14/2006   article audio/video     watch osceola's sergio allen 47-yard td pass to justin hart     watch osceola's bryce williams pushes the pile forward     watch the end of cornelius gallon 51-yard punt return     watch osecola's justin hart scores on a 29-yard td     watch plant qb robert marve completes a 2-point conversion     watch plant qb robert marve completes a pass to cornelius gallon     watch plant's defense stuffs the double pitch     watch plant qb robert marve tosses a strike to derek winter     watch plant's qb robert marve runs for a touchdown.     watch plant's robert marve tosses a 50-yard touchdown to luke rorech     watch plant's robert marve hits derek winter for a td     watch osceola traps plant qb robert marve for a safety     watch plant qb robert marve runs for a first down top 25 playoff game report (#19 beef’s, #4 4a) h.b. plant 48, osceola 23   the match-up: the 4a-10 district champion plant panthers (10-0) faced the 4a-9 runner up osceola warriors (8-2).  both teams carried momentum into the game.  undefeated plant was coming off two big wins against traditional rivals (jefferson and robinson) and osceola was fresh off of an upset win over previously undefeated 5a largo (9-1).  this game was a contrast of styles.  the panthers are led by highly touted quarterback robert marve and his crew of veteran receivers.  the warriors are a running team led by feature back justin hart, shifty quarterback sergio allen, and bruising fullback bryce williams.   game review: first half- the panthers opened the scoring on their second drive with a 40 yard strike from marve to luke rorech.  the warriors quickly answered.  after a few short runs the run-oriented warriors threw a surprise deep ball for a 47 yard score to justin hart.  the warriors defense then turned it up a notch, sacking marve for a 15-yard loss.  two plays later, they sacked marve for a safety.  after the free kick, the warriors scored on a short possession capped by a 29-yard justin hart touchdown run.  this made it 16-7 osceola.  however, the momentum shifted as the panthers luke rorech returned the ensuing kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown.  osceola fumbled on their first play of the next drive.  the panthers capitalized on the error with a 3-play drive capped by a 9-yard marve touchdown run.  half-time score: plant 21, osceola 16.    second half- the warriors opened the second half scoring on their second possession.  justin hart scored on a 70 yard reverse-field.  he took the pitch all the way to the left sideline and got boxed in, but he reversed field and zigzagged his way out of trouble back to the right.  hart headed up field and took it to the house for a 70 yard touchdown run.  this gave the warriors the momentum and put them up 23-21.  this was the only score in the third quarter.  in the fourth, plant drove the length of the field only to miss a 24-yard field goal.  it appeared it wasn’t going to be their night.  however, on the very next play, the warriors fumbled and the flood gates came open.  marve hooked up with derek winter for a 9 yard touchdown to take the lead.  osceola went three and out from their 1 yard line.  plant took over on the 50.  marve hit luke rorech for a 50 yard touchdown on the first play of the drive.  plant added a 51 yard punt return for a touchdown by cornelius gallon and 2 yard run by lovell jackson to finish the scoring.   jackson (back from an injury suffered three weeks ago) had a huge second half by rushing for 78 yards.  final score: plant 48, osceola 23.   stars of the game: plant’s luke rorech had 3 tds, two on long receptions (40 and 50 yards) and a 92 yard kickoff return.  plant’s robert marve had 243 yards passing with 3 tds.  he also added 65 yards rushing and a td on the ground; for osceola, the main man was justin hart.  he had 124 yards rushing with 2 tds and a 47 yard td catch.   next week:  plant (11-0) hosts 4a-12 champion winter haven (9-2)   individual statistics: passing: (p) robert marve, 19-26, 243 yards, 3 tds, 2 int;
