the markdown fix plugin is mostly courtesy of michel fortin, who sent me the fixes i had in mind as soon as i sent him a notice i was working on this project. 100% of the credits thus go to him.
note: the latest version of markdown makes this fix obsolete.
installation
this software requires wordpress v.1.2 or later and the markdown plugin.
download the zip, unzip and upload the file into your plugins folder, and activate from your admin panel.
default usage
activate and enjoy.
do i need this?
the markdown fix plugin solves a couple of issues in the 1.0 and 1.0.1 versions of the markdown plugin for wordpress, including:
blockquotes are processed in comments
paragraphs are added in comments
comment excerpts are filtered
trackback and pingback excerpts are filtered (based on this fix by kimmo suominen)
markdown will be disabled in comments by default
