if your system is slowing down, crashing or simply won't boot,
fix-it
utilities from v-com will help equip you with what you need to restore your
pc to its former health.
not only for fixing broken systems, fix-it utilities contains many useful
tools to help maintain your system's health and security.
these include hard drive optimisation, anti-virus and anti-spyware, registry
cleaning and pre-emptive hard drive failure detection.
it also provides a handy system monitor which will warn you when resources
are getting low.
fix-it's system diagnostics provide low-level tests for most of your pc's
components, including the motherboard, memory, graphics, network adapters,
monitor and hard drives.
some of these however, such as polygon-drawing tests, now seem a little
obsolescent.
by integrating the utilities into a single user interface, v-com makes it
easy for you to navigate your way through the vast compendium of tools, but it
also sometimes prevents you from running more than one utility at a time.
some processes take a while to complete and it's not always possible to
navigate back through the menus and run another utility until it has finished.
the install disc is bootable, which allows you to access the hard drives of
non-booting systems, including ntfs partitions, and coax them back into action
with the supplied tools.
fix-it utilities scores extra points by providing a full, printed manual that
doubles as a helpful guide to system maintenance and recovery.
despite its 'professional' moniker, there is no basic version of fix-it
utilities. there is, however, a more comprehensive package - namely v-com system
suite 6 professional.
for an extra £12 this adds additional features including a firewall and
anti-spam software.
if you want to keep the price down, this version offers a good range of
tools, although many are suited to more advanced users.
for the bargain hunters amongst you,
fix-it
utilities 6 professional is currently slightly cheaper to buy the software
direct from the us site - you can select sterling currency at the check-out.
