concerning his health, kevin nash said he is fine. he was suffering from chest pains a few months ago, and because of a family history of heart problems, he was very concerned, but he said he just had a physical and is fine. he later joked that his orthopedist thinks he's nuts for wrestling again, but his cardiologist gave him a clean bill of health.- concerning the internet having a bias against "big men" in wrestling, nash said it is a case of people not identifying with people who are genetically bigger. nash said if you can do two or three things and have charisma and get over, then you don't need to "set yourself on fire" to impress the fans. he said many pitchers have just one pitch, but if it is an amazing fastball, it's enough to make them a star. - when asked whether he could have a match with chris sabin like the ones he had with shawn michaels, nash noted he was ten years younger when he had those matches. nash praised sabin, and also put over sonjay dutt, jay lethal and alex shelley, saying they have all impressed him with their work. - nash has a role in the movie doa which comes out on august 25th movie. he has no other film projects lined up, but is going to new york soon for some readings.- when asked what chris sabin has to do in order to beat him, nash deadpanned, "he has to pin me". - nash wanted to work with chris sabin on a house show before having the ppv match, but said tna's house show lineups were set when he asked.- nash said being a heel is closer to his real life "sarcastic, smartass" personality. nash admits his size limits him in terms of what he can do in the ring, but said he knows the formula for having good matches with smaller guys. nash said he can "dance" but he needs the "best dance partners" and once again put over chris sabin. - in comparing his program with chris sabin to his wcw run with rey mysterio, nash said he had mysterio beat him because he had just started booking and wanted to make a statement to everyone in wcw that anyone can beat anyone else. he said the sabin feud is more storyline driven, based around nash saying the x-division wrestlers aren't worthy, and sabin, representing the division, showing that they are. - nash said he is looking forward to samoa joe vs. scott steiner, noting that joe has an incredible amount of talent.- he said he would be willing to work with tna in a creative role, but only as part of a committee. nash said that you can't just have one person in charge and go with their vision. - when asked if his war with the x-division will include an eventual match with samoa joe, nash said it wouldn't be seen as nash vs. x-division, because joe isn't looked at as being a smaller wrestler. nash said it would just be seen as "nash vs. joe". nash later remarked that joe is the one wrestler he hasn't faced that he would like to have a match with.- when asked about why there aren't as many "big men" champions, nash said that a lack of charismatic big men has resulted in smaller champions. nash said the few good big men that there are right now don't need the belt, like the undertaker. nash said it is better to use the belt to make new stars, rather than putting it on someone like the undertaker again. - kevin nash hasn't talked to scott hall in a few months. nash said he's called him five or six times, but hasn't heard from him. nash said that when he doesn't hear from scott, it isn't a good thing, because it probably means "scott is out doing what scott does". nash doesn't see tna bringing him back. - nash said the nwo failed in wwf because they pulled hogan out of the mix too soon. nash said originally scott hall was supposed to beat steve austin at wrestlemania, and the nwo was supposed to screw the rock during his match with hogan, but then wwf decided to make hogan a babyface, and had austin go over hall. - when asked about eric bischoff coming to tna, either as a performer or in a creative role, nash said he would love to see eric bischoff come to tna, noting they are old friends. - when asked about what advice he would give to new wrestlers, nash said the new generation needs to work "smarter not harder", and realize they can accomplish the same things in the ring without killing themselves. nash said he can see some wrestlers having their careers end by the time they are 30, just because of the style they work.- nash said he is interested in seeing how wwe is able to present dx with shawn michaels being a devout christian now. nash says he doesn't see shawn doing the risqué and sexual stuff that dx was famous for. - in regards to picking opponents to work with, nash joked that he picks "the smallest guy that he can throw the farthest". nash said that the "big man vs. little man" dynamic works best, because the little man can "create movement" and the big man can react to it. he said that if you put big show or kane vs. a smaller opponent, it is good, but against each other, it isn't. nash said most "big man vs. big man" matches are usually not good, except when the undertaker is involved, because he can create movement in a match. - when asked about people who will criticize nash for beating x-division wrestlers, nash said if wrestling was a shoot, no one in the x-division could beat him, so no one should complain about him beating an x division guy in a worked match.- nash was asked if he would be interested in working in mexico and "punking out some luchadors" and nash said he would go anywhere if the money is right. - nash praised alex shelley, saying he has great charisma and has a lot of potential. he wants to see how far they can take their partnership, and nash could see a point where he becomes the bodyguard/sidekick for shelley while he pursues a title.- as a result of working for tna, nash says he's excited about wrestling again. he said he has been watching tapes, enjoying it, and that being around people who are passionate about it has been good for him. - when asked the "if you could bring anyone to tna, who would you choose" question, nash said if steve austin was healthy, he'd want him. - we will never see a kevin nash autobiography. nash doesn't want to do it unless he can tell the whole truth, and he doesn't want his ten-year-old son to read about things his father has done in the past, so he won't be doing one. - nash said the new ecw brand has such a wwe flavor already, it has been diluted. he said it will be a wwe production, and ecw was never about big arenas and production. he wants to see it succeed as another place for the boys to work, but doesn't see it recapturing the old ecw vibe. nash feels if heyman can have control of the show, it will be successful. however, he sees wwe production getting involved and they'll "muck it up". - he doesn't see himself having a career in films, noting it is more something he does when it comes up. nash mentioned that he turned down the role of sabertooth in x-men, because at the time his wrestling career was so busy. nash said he misses performing in the ring and in front of a live crowd, so he will always take wrestling over doing a movie. - when asked about doing any specific training for his return to the ring, nash joked that he has cut down to one bottle of red wine a night. - in talking about the current crop of young stars, nash noted that a lot of them have more experience at a younger age, because they work so often on the independent scene. nash said a lot of 21 year old wrestlers have three years experience working three or four shots a week. nash also noted that because so many of these wrestlers work against each other so frequently, they know each other, and when they finally get a chance to wrestle on television, they have great matches.- nash doesn't watch wwe ppv events that often. he said tna's product is different than wwe's and if people like it, they will buy it. he noted wwe really isn't three different products, so it isn't like there are four styles out there. it's either wwe or tna. - when asked about tna doing ppv events and television outside of orlando, nash noted that tna is a studio product, and if you want to take it on the road, you need more revenue to pay for the travel and production costs associated with doing broadcasts and tapings outside the studio.- when asked about paul heyman's comments regarding tna not being competition, nash said "paul should worry about paul", noting that if he did, maybe he'd have ecw and not be working for wwe. ::
